Today is my birthday and I had to pause and calculate to be sure of my age! Isn’t that crazy? I think I stayed doing this after my 32nd birthday. So many years have passed that it gets confusing. The interesting thing about this is that I’m not the only one. This topic of forgetting your actual age was brought up in a group of family and friends and almost everyone above a certain age confessed to doing the same thing.

As the years go by I guess numbers cease to matter as much before because what is truly important is the experiences, the relationships, the lessons, and acquisitions along the way. This birthday is not going to be celebrated in grand style like some of the ones I’ve done in the past but that’s ok. I started off the day with a big bowl of waakye and an even bigger smile.

I did order a birthday cake and I’m sure my kids will enjoy it more than I will but it’s all part of the fun. Tim, my husband had a photo shoot for me the night before. Even though it had been a while since he took pictures the pictures were amazing. He is such a good photographer!  Looking at how old I’m getting I think forgetting my age is actually a good thing 🙂

Anyway, happy birthday. I also started calculating my age after I turned 33. I even had take a moment to remember right now. 😂🤣
