Dropshipping is a very interesting way to start a side business or small business with little to no money. Times are hard right now and a lot of people don’t have big sums of money lying around to launch a business. With dropshipping you list products on websites and when someone places an order you use that money to buy the product from a supplier and give them the buyer’s address for them to ship to them. You don’t have to spend any money at all! One of the easiest way to get started is with Aliexpress dropshipping. Aliexpress is a cool Chinese website that has a lot of products that ship worldwide but some of the seller are shady. In this article I’m going to show you how to avoid getting scammed when doing AliExpress dropshipping. I have been using these tips since I started using Aliexpress and they absolutely work. So, here are five ways to protect yourself.

Seller Rating

First, always check the seller’s feedback and ratings. AliExpress has a rating system that allows buyers to rate and review sellers. Make sure to read the reviews carefully and look for any negative feedback or complaints about the seller. Reviews are also the best way to see how a product really looks. Aliexpress allows buyers to upload pictures of the products when it arrives. Take a good look at these pictures and see if they match the pictures the sellers are displaying. With Aliexpress dropshipping you always want to use the best sellers.

The cheaper the riskier

Second, don’t always go for the cheapest price. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Be cautious of sellers who offer products at very low prices, as they may be selling counterfeit or low-quality items. What I usually do is that I scout for at least 4 listings of the same product and compare the prices. Aliexpress dropshipping is one of the most affordable options for dropshipping so don’t go too low on product prices. If one is extremely cheaper that the rest I usually avoid it. Very low prices are sometimes a symbol of bad quality or even a scam. The product may never be shipped so beware.

Communication

Third, communicate with the seller before making a purchase. Ask questions about the product and the shipping process to make sure you are comfortable with the seller’s responses. If they are unresponsive or give vague answers, it may be a red flag. Most sellers when scam buyers on Aliexpress don’t even have the time to respond to messages. Also a responsive seller is often one you understands the importance of customer service. It’s also good to ask a lot of questions about the product and shipping so you can give this information to a potential buyer who asks about this too.

Safe Payment for Aliexpress Dropshipping

Fourth, use secure payment methods. AliExpress offers buyer protection, but it’s always best to use a payment method that offers additional protection, such as PayPal or Visa/MasterCard. Avoid using wire transfer or other untraceable payment methods. Wire transfers from your bank can not be reversed if there is an issue with the order. I have noticed these days that Aliexpress has become a little colder to buyers with regards to refunds as compared to some years ago.

Patience

Finally, be patient and don’t rush into a purchase. Take your time to research the seller and the product before making a decision. If a deal seems too good to pass up, take a step back and think it over.

So, those are five ways to avoid getting scammed on AliExpress when looking for dropshipping products. Aliexpress dropshipping can be very profitable when you get the right product from the right seller. I hope you found this article helpful.
