When you are on holiday with small children, coming up with fun things to do for them is very important. Luckily Dubai has lots of places to keep your children entertained at any time of the day! When we were on our family holiday during the summer holidays in Dubai we went to Cheeky Monkeys with our boys and they had an absolute blast! Cheeky Monkeys is an indoor playground for kids from zero to about 8 years. The bright and beautiful location has many slides, trampolines, ball pits, obstacle courses and so much more. And it’s also soft play. Which means everything is padded which makes it super safe.
Locations
There are more than 9 cheeky monkey playgrounds in Dubai and the one we went to was just a walking distance from where we were staying. The indoor playground works from 8am to 10pm everyday, even on holidays. It is so well lit that it feels like daytime all the time. The staff was also very nice and friendly.
Prices
So how much does it cost and what do you need to have fun at Cheeky Monkeys? As at July 2023 it was 60 Dhs for the first hour per child. Additional hours cost 33 Dhs per hour. You can book in advance but unless it’s a public holiday where it may be busy you can just walk in. That’s what we did and it was fine. Booking in advance with certain platforms like kidzapp may get you a discount. We were able to secure a discount when we arrived because there was a summer time promo so that worked out fine.
Rules
All kids are supposed to remove all shoes and wear socks in the play area. This rule applies to parents accompanying their kids as well. This is pretty standard for most play spaces for kids. Cheeky Monkeys also sells socks so you can buy a pair if you forgot to bring one.
Other cool services
The venue also has a mini restaurant / snack bar where you can get something to eat. There is also a roomy seating area for parents to relax while the kids have the time of their lives. Cheeky Monkeys also organizes summer camps and other fun activities for children. You can sign your child up and they will have a ton of fun learning and playing. The playground also offers party services. There are a lot of packages to choose from for kids’ birthday parties.
