If you haven’t heard from me in a while it’s only because I took a long deserved holiday and I’m now returning back to the grind. It’s interesting how perspectives change after a period of inactivity. One thing is for sure and that is you learn to appreciate the little things as well as new things you never thought about. Unwinding is not just fun, it’s good for your personal growth as an entrepreneur. This is why I don’t joke with my relaxation trips. Even if it’s just for a few days, let me tell you what a holiday can do for you and your business.

Gives you new perspectives

I can’t tell you enough how my mind has clicked and blinked with ideas whenever I travel. Just seeing how people do things differently from myself gives me a ton of ideas. It’s one thing reading about something but experiencing or being a part of it is priceless.

Releases tension

Wherever you go on holiday your mind gets the memo and tells your body to relax. It’s so calming not waking up to an alarm or even not doing your normal rigid routine. When I was on holiday I loved the fact that there was no schedule to follow and I really didn’t have to do most of the things I HAD to do every day.

The hunger for more

The hardest part about a vacation is at the end. When you realise that this utopia can’t go on forever. I remember when we got home, even though I was a bit homesick at one point , a part of me also missed the soft life. This gave me some kind of push to work harder to do it over again. Perhaps a little longer or more lavish this time. The sky’s the limit!

I’m back now though and working on the launch of a new collection for my clothing brand, Zedi. Over the weekend the clothes will be available on our website zedighana.com, Etsy and all our social media accounts. I’m really charged up, thanks to my wonderful getaway.
